Adrian Wheeler MA FCIPR is a partner in Agincourt Communications and a non-executive director of Firefly Communications and The London Communications Agency. He is a member of the board of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and was chairman of the Public Relations Consultants Association in 1999-2001. He is also a member of the Vice-Chancellor’s Advisory Panel on Communications at the University of Cambridge.
He was educated at Dulwich College and Clare College, Cambridge. He started out as a local newspaper reporter and then joined a City of London public relations firm, setting up Sterling Public Relations with a partner four years later. This consultancy was acquired by Grey Advertising in 1990 and as CEO of GCI UK Wheeler was involved in setting up a 28-office GCI EMEA network, becoming chairman of GCI Europe in 2000. He left GCI when Grey was acquired in 2005.
Adrian works in London and lives in Prague with his wife and two young children.
Adrian retired as a SCT Trustee in July 2016.
