Jon Holbrook

Jon Holbrook is a barrister based in London.  When not in his wig and gown he likes to pursue political interests.  After a brief spell in the Labour Party he joined, in 1985, an organisation that developed into Spiked and the Academy of Ideas, two organisations for which he regularly writes and speaks.  In 2014 Jon was shortlisted by the legal publisher, Halsbury, for its Legal Journalism award for his Spiked articles on the politics of law.  (See his author archive here.)  He tweets for ‘more politics and less law’ at @JonHolb.

Jon Holbrook has also written for the New Law Journal (author archive here) and Judicial Power Project (see here).  In 2017 Policy Exchange published his critique of Global Governance (co-authored with Professor James Allan).
