Your support for SCT will go a long way.
SCT is a small and highly cost-efficient registered charity (no. 1120913).
While the scope and impact of our work has grown significantly over the last five years, our overheads have not. Our success has been founded instead on our ability to develop national partnerships with a wide range of much larger organisations which share our aims and values and, at local level, through the harnessing of the social capital which can be found in every community.
Through these partnerships, through programmes from Speaking Out to Youth Amplified and projects from Nottingham to Nigeria, we have encouraged and enabled thousands of people to explore new ideas, engage in debate with each other as well as with decision makers and become more active members of their own communities.
SCT is the common denominator in all this work. Without us it would not have happened. But as low as our costs are and will remain, like any other charity we do have to meet them – and these are particularly challenging times for the third sector.
Your support in helping us sustain and develop the important work featured on this website would be very much appreciated. By clicking on the button below you can make a contribution either through PayPal or by credit card.
SCT gratefully acknowledges the support over the last year of the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation for SCT’s core programme, the Paul Hamlyn Foundation which has funded Youth Amplified and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office which has supported the Nigeria Speakers’ Corner project. SCT is also grateful to Clifford Chance for its invaluable pro bono legal advice and to Waggener Edstrom which is now providing pro bono PR support.
